iBook is here !

What a pleasant surprise. The DHL man dropped off my iBook package at 10:55 today. Typical Apple outer packaging, notice the design on the packing tape.

And I just can't wait to unpack it.

iBook on its way

Well, it has been itching in my fingers for a long time and so yesterday I ordered an iBook with the 12-inch display at cyberport, once again. I was swaying between the 12 and 14-inch models, caught in a decision trap. At Gravis, the large Apple retailer in Germany, I could compare the two side-by-side: the 14-inch model looks much bulkier, nothing I would like to tote around if I don't really need to. It has the same resolution as the 12-inch model, so you don't really get any more desktop real estate. OK, for those who need a Superdrive and a larger hard disk it could be a value, but for me the compactness of the 12" model was just too appealing.
